Bungalow Thottam is a contemporary interpretation of traditional South Indian architecture, designed to celebrate cultural heritage while embracing modern living. Rooted in timeless design principles, the residence combines handcrafted details, natural materials, and open, light-filled spaces to create a warm and welcoming home.
At the heart of the house is a beautifully designed courtyard that brings daylight, ventilation, and nature into the living spaces. Traditional wooden elements, handcrafted doors, terracotta Jaali walls, Athangudi Tile flooring, and artisanal furnishings reflect the richness of regional craftsmanship, while clean architectural lines ensure a refined contemporary character.
Bungalow Thottam is an ode to traditional architecture where craftsmanship, climate responsiveness, and cultural identity come together. The project reinterprets vernacular design elements in a modern context, creating spaces that are elegant, functional, and deeply connected to their roots.
